Teacher of the Year

Help us honor outstanding IPS teachers!

Every day IPS teachers work tirelessly for our students. Join us in celebrating their dedication!

Photographed to the left is last year’s IPS District Teacher of the Year, Ms. Alexandria Stewart from CFI School 70.

It’s hard to believe that another school year is almost coming to a close, but not before we take time out of our busy spring schedules to honor our teachers! On May 20th, the top ten finalists will be honored and the District Teacher of the Year will be announced! The IPS Teacher of the Year will represent the District in the state-wide competition.

The IPS Education Foundation (IPSEF) is proud to provide resources for so many excellent teachers through our micro-grant program. IPS teachers and school leaders can apply for funding to support classroom supplies, field trips, professional development, school uniforms, and other opportunities that help make a lasting impact on students beyond the classroom.

We want to invite you to join us in celebrating the hard work and dedication of our IPS teachers! Our goal is to raise a total of $10,000 in the next two weeks to provide Teacher of the Year awards and continued funding for the IPSEF micro-grant program.

The total dollars raised will be equally divided to provide cash awards for the top 10 teacher finalists, and invested in the IPSEF micro-grant program for teachers to apply for funding in their classrooms in the 2019-2020 school year. It’s a win-win! We invite you to make your gift today and be sure to select “Teacher of the Year”. Please reach out to IPSEF’s Director of Development, Kelly (kriley@ipsef.org or 440-622-4947) with any questions or if you’d like assistance making your gift.
