The Indianapolis Public Schools is now accepting nominees for induction into the Alumni Hall of Fame Class of 2013.
Successful candidates for this elite recognition will join former Indiana Sen. Richard Lugar, comedian David Letterman, writer Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., Indiana Pacer George Hill and actress Vivica A. Fox as Hall of Fame honorees.
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- An IPS graduate who has been out of high school at least five years
- Has special achievements in the nominee’s areas of specialization
- Has received honors, awards or other recognitions on a local, regional, national and/or international level
- Demonstrated community service
- Has made meritorious contributions to society in general or specific segment of society

The IPS Alumni Hall of Fame was created in 2006 and was established to convey community pride and offer knowledge regarding the reputation, leadership and accomplishments of countless IPS alumni.
Those selected for induction will be the guests of honor at the 8h Annual IPS Alumni Hall of Fame Luncheon to be held October 1 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.
Proceeds from the IPS Alumni Hall of Fame Luncheon support the IPS Education Foundation.
