IPS Education Foundation appoints new board members, continues positive growth
New board members and staff encourage IPSEF’s future success
INDIANAPOLIS – The past year has brought many changes for the IPS Education Foundation (IPSEF). With the addition of a development coordinator and a new executive director comes a new energy and vision for the organization. The IPSEF continues to help Indianapolis students and teachers by connecting community resources and matching grant dollars back into the district.
Executive Director Robert Shula has expressed his desire for the IPSEF to grow its presence in the Indianapolis community by increasing partnerships with other local organizations.
New board members include Heather Hall, Vice President of Community Development at Sun King Brewing Company; Anne K. Ricchiuto, Partner in the Business Litigation practice group at Faegre Baker Daniels; and Larry Williams, President of Rowley Security Firm LLC. All three new board members bring a wealth of experience and community volunteerism, as well as a sense of commitment to being a strategic partner for Indianapolis Public Schools.
Heather Hall is a former teacher and has a strong history of involvement with many Indianapolis institutions, both in a volunteer capacity as well as in her current role at Sun King Brewing. Anne Ricchiuto is both an IPS parent and a former Street Law teacher at Shortridge High School. Larry Williams’ appointment creates a bond between IPS students and safety and security, as his company aims to establish a bold and caring presence of safety and security in the Indianapolis community.
“Our newest board members bring great energy, resources and passion to a very engaged, effective board of directors,” says IPSEF Executive Director Robert Shula. “All three community leaders are positive additions to the board, and we are excited to have them on our team.”
In recent years, the IPSEF has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for IPS classrooms, funding everything from innovative educational programming, to ensuring that students and teachers have the resources they need to be successful.
