The IPS Foundation is seeking an outgoing, organized and self-motivated Development and Marketing Intern to assist a growing organization in building a base of donors and followers.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
~ Generate gift acknowledgements.
~ Data entry of donations and donor information in E-Tapestry.
~ Prospect research.
~ Creation of a direct mail piece from beginning to end.
~ Grant writing.
~ Assist with development of e-newsletters.
~ Assist with various aspects of planning and implementing the annual IPS Hall of Fame Luncheon (October).
~ Draft interactive marketing campaign and communication templates.
~ Edit website.
~ Various administrative duties as needed.
~Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
~Excellent internet research skills.
~Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and general comfort with exploring other programs.
~Hours are flexible during general workdays. Minimum of 10 hours per week.
~Undergraduates, graduate students and folks in transition are encouraged to apply.
~Ideal candidate has experience in campus or community organizations and has a proven passion for helping others.
Internship is paid. In addition to compensation, successful interns will be rewarded with introductions and recommendations to professional connections in the community.
As possible, intern will be a guest at AFP and PRSA events that occur during intern’s tenure.
