On December 18th, we were completely blown away by the generosity of our friends at Amazon! They surprised all of the students at Ralph Waldo Emerson School #58 with a Winter Wonderland in the school gym. Amazon invited Santa to join the party, and created stations for reading, cookie decorating, and reindeer games. All students played games, got a picture with Santa and walked away with a book and a toy!
In addition to the Winter Wonderland, seven local organizations were gifted with cash donations totaling $180,000 to support initiatives and programs serving homeless students and families in the Greater Indianapolis area. IPS Education Foundation was one of the organizations to receive a generous gift of $15,000 to support students across the IPS District. Amazon has also partnered with Gleaners to provide an additional $16,000 to open a stocked food pantry at Francis W. Parker Montessori School #56.
