An eager, results-driven Board of Directors guides the Indianapolis Public Schools Education Foundation.

Board Members



Andy Barton Andy Barton, is a Real Estate Professional with Century 21 Scheetz where he provides services and solutions to residential buyers, seller and investors during the purchase and sale of a home.  Prior to real estate Andy held finance and accounting leadership positions at companies such as Harlan Laboratories, Eli Lilly and Company, and Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC).  He obtained his B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington.  Andy lives with his family live in the IPS school district in the Old Northside, where they continue to enjoy and renovate their 125 year old home.
005 Aaron Bradshaw, Treasurer, is the state and local tax manager for AES Corporation (parent company of Indianapolis Power and Light) in Indianapolis. He has previously worked at Harlan Laboratories, Cummins, and the Indiana Department of Revenue. He graduated from Indiana University- Bloomington with degrees in law and accounting, and has a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Purdue University. Aaron’s wife, Katie, is a teacher at IPS School 46 Daniel Webster Academy.
Gloria Crawford Gloria Crawford, is an Office Manager for Lake City Bank. She focused her education at Ball State University on Journalism and Speech Communication.  Starting as a journalist for the Muncie Star, covering community and local government events, she has worked her way up to managing and training a team of bankers at Lake City Bank. She believes strongly in community engagement and building.
Pamela Gemmer Pamela A. Gemmer is a graduate of Broad Ripple High School. She received her B.A in International Relations and Spanish from the University of Denver and an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Nova-Southeastern University. Pam began her teaching career in Mexico City where she taught Spanish to new arrivals at the American School. Pam worked as a Spanish teacher at Emmerich Manual High School and Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School. While at Crispus Attucks, Pam established a Spanish class for Spanish-speaking students and coordinated the Cultural Exchange Program between CAMMHS and a junior high school and a high school in Tlaxcala, Mexico. She remains an active advocate for bringing cross-cultural experiences to students.
 Kirk Bevington-BOD Pic-1-26-18 Kirk Bevington has been a life-long advocate for public education and service. He credits his personal experience growing up in multiple public schools as defining pillars in his life. Kirk believes that all children deserve an educational platform that allows them to expand their comfort zones and be provided with the resources to enhance the skill sets needed to thrive in their young lives. Kirk joined the IPS Education Foundation Board in 2017. Kirk is President of KRB Consulting, LLC.
 IMG_0168 Dewitt Fleming is a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School who began his career at Price Waterhouse  & Co.  He has held several financial and operations management positions with Chamberlain, Modine, Firestone and recently retired from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.  He received a BBA in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.   He and his wife Delores, reside in Indianapolis and have two adult sons.
Miles Nelson-BOD Updated Pic-1-26-18 Miles Nelson, President, Miles Nelson is passionate about public education and public service.  He believes strongly that all children have the right to receive great education.  Miles joined the IPS Education Board in 2016 after serving six years on the board of Child Advocates, the Marion County CASA.  Miles is owner of M. Nelson & Associates and president of AOI Today.
Girtha Girtha R Perkins, Secretary, is the Senior Compliance Analyst in the PLM division of Vertafore, Inc. a software services company serving the insurance and financial services industry. Girtha is a native of Birmingham Alabama and a graduate of Indiana University. She is a member and elder of Northminster Presbyterian Church, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Indianapolis Chapter of The Links, Inc.
Tiffany Tiffany Presley, ESQ., is an Associate Attorney at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. She received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence and Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University. She excels at bringing strong problem-solving and communication skills to our table. Tiffany is deeply engaged with community support. She recently received Indiana Lawyer’s 2015 Up and Coming Lawyer Award.
IMG_4812 Doug Rammel, is a strategy, operations, information technology and finance / investor in the  Healthcare, Sporting / Consumer Goods, and Technology industries. Currently serving as a consultant, angel investor and venture capitalist, mentor and social activist, Rammel is involved in a number of for-profit, not-for-profit and social service agency organizations. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo, a masters from the University of Michigan and is midway through his PhD from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.  He is an award-winning teacher, industry speaker and often-requested panelist.  Doug is a longtime community activist on multiple political campaigns as well as a volunteer with Downtown Rotary, Ruth Lilly Health Education Center, Techpoint Foundation for Youth, the Indy Sports Corp and the IUPUI Kelley School of Business and School of Informatics. He and his wife Chantel are proud parents of two IPS students.
 Brianna Saunders-BOD Pic-1-26-18 Brianna J. Saunders, MPA, is from Indianapolis and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Arts in Public Affairs from Indiana Wesleyan University.  She is the Community Relations Manager for Indianapolis Power & Light (IPL). In her professional roles, Brianna has established and fostered key relationships to further the success in her community. Brianna came from the Alzheimer’s Association and worked in nonprofit for over 10 years. As well as, she has served in many of volunteer roles throughout the community with organizations such as Rock Steady Boxing, United Way, NCAA Youth Clinics, her church and many others. She is very passionate about her community, education and proud to be the wife of a firefighter and mother of two young girls.
BethWhitePhoto Beth White, Vice President, has a distinguished career of public service at the state and local level.  Currently she is the Executive Director of the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, a not-for-profit whose mission is the serve the Mayor’s administration.  She served two terms as the elected Clerk of Marion County, and previously help positions in the City of Indianapolis, the State of Indiana, and as a criminal prosecutor. She is also an adjunct professor at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI. Beth previously served on the board of The Julian Center and the Ransburg YMCA, and is currently an active member of  Central Christian Church. She is a graduate of Indiana University and the Georgetown University Law Center.
Larry Williams,Jr-BOD Pic-1-26-18 Larry Williams Jr. is owner/operator of Rowley Security.  His mission has always been to help companies by using his expertise in safety.  He gained his security and safety experience at Pinkerton/Securitas where he was a Fire Prevention Officer for 8 years.  After years of experience in Corporate, he decided to expand his skillsets by becoming an entrepreneur and started his own business, Rowley Security, in 2005. Very involved in the community, Larry is the President of Indy Black Chamber of Commerce (IBCC).  Larry is also on the IPS Education Foundation, Mapleton Fall Creek Economic Development Committee, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Great Place Steering Committee, and Indiana Subcontractors Association Membership Committee.  Lastly, he is an active member of Puritan Missionary Baptist Church where he serves as the President of the Brotherhood and Male Chorus Ministries.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and servicing the community.
